South County Citizens For Responsible Growth

is a diverse group of citizens representing a broad spectrum of life in south Sacramento County.

We are business people, farmers and ranchers, recent and longtime suburban and rural residents, developers, realtors, activists and environmentalists.
Our mission statement is:

"South County Citizens For Responsible Growth (SCCRG) is concerned about agricultural, environmental, economic and community issues. The group's mission is to protect our quality of life and locally-operated businesses while conserving agricultural and natural resources in south Sacramento County."

We strive to have a strong regional voice on such issues as traffic and air pollution, water and land use, open space, farmland and wildlife habitat preservation, school siting, pedestrian, bike and equestrian access, mass transit, government agency coordination and community gardens. We educate and provide public input as needed to local city, county, service district and school district entities and help develop creative solutions to growth related problems. When we can rally a strong public voice on growth issues, we can insist that responsible and properly planned development occurs. Please join us and help make south Sacramento County a better place to live.
